LoveOurPlanet

Personal stuff:

My name is Beverly. I’ve lived in the artsy, liberal college town of Austin, TX since I was six years old and as a result, I’m kind of a New-agey, hippie-chick tomboy. I play rock music (vocals, keyboards and viola) in a local band, love world travel, and going to the Alamo Drafthouse. I also want to live in an intentional “green” community, I have a giant soft spot for animals, and love everything about the desert southwest. I own a transplanted vintage home outside of town and have five cats, so I suppose I’m right on the cusp of crazy-cat-ladyship.

Professional past:

I have an 20-year history as an artist and project manager in the computer game industry, except for a break for grad school. I hold a master’s degree in Cultural Geography, and wrote my thesis on the geography of feral cats, and how they foil western philosophy’s attempt to draw clear distinctions between natural and cultural landscapes. I’m also a Certified ScrumMaster, which is a term for a team coach for software production using the Agile methodology called Scrum.

Professional present:

I’m branching into a new field now, supplying people with tools to create the life they choose, through a powerful personal development course called Avatar®. The goal of the course is to guide you in an exploration of your own belief system, and to enable you to change what isn’t working for you. http://www.theavatarcourse.com

I’m also looking for people interested in joining my social marketing team and building their own home-based green business with Shaklee®. My family has been doing this for 40 years, and it feels awesome to help others live healthier, take care of the planet, and secure a financial future. http://beverlygarland.myshaklee.com
